State College of Beauty Culture works to make the application process as straightforward as possible. Here are the steps you’ll take to start enrollment:
Schedule a tour of our beauty school.
All prospective students are strongly encouraged to schedule a tour of our Wausau campus. This allows you to see the school, meet some students and staff, and determine whether it will be a good fit for your career goals. We love showing people around!
Complete the application paperwork.
You’ll need to complete an application form for State College of Beauty Culture. You can get this application form from our admissions team during your tour. If you have problems or questions, contact our admissions team for assistance.
Attend an interview with the school administrator.
Prospective students will need to attend an interview with a member of our admissions team. This gives us a chance to get to know you and for you to ask any questions you might have about your program, the school, or getting your license.
Submit all of your supporting paperwork.
Once your application is in, you’ll need to submit some additional documents to our admissions team. You can bring these with you to your interview. You’ll need to submit:

Financial aid is available to those who qualify. If you want to use financial aid to pay for your beauty education, now is the time to start exploring your options. A variety of financial aid options can help you pay for your education, including grants, loans, and scholarships.
Potential students with satisfactory transcripts from another school may enter the State College of Beauty Culture and receive credit for work done. A placement test, for a fee of $200.00, is required to determine the placement of the transfer student. Hours of training required to attain a State College of Beauty Culture Diploma are based on acquired knowledge compared to the State College of Beauty Culture Inc.’s curriculum. Transfer students will be charged per hour according to the current tuition rate for hours required, the cost of any additional equipment needed, and a registration fee of $200.00.
While we don’t have a specific course for refreshing your skill set, graduates are welcome to come back and attend any of our sessions! We want to be a lifelong resource for our students and a place where they can brush up on their skills if needed.
