Financial Resources for Beauty School Students

Wondering how to pay for your beauty school education? These financial resources are available to those who qualify:

Federal Grants are financial aid awards that do not need to be repaid. They are based on financial need and can be used to help cover the cost of education.
Direct Loans are student loans provided by the U.S. Department of Education. These loans must be repaid with interest.
Direct Subsidized Loans are available to students who demonstrate financial need. They are interest-free while the student is enrolled in school, and repayment begins six months after graduation or withdrawal.
Direct Unsubsidized Loans are available to all students, regardless of financial need. Interest begins to accrue on these loans while the student is in school.
Direct PLUS Loans are available to parents of dependent students to help cover the cost of their child’s education. Financial need is not a requirement. The loan will be disbursed directly to the student’s account if approved. If denied, the student may be eligible for a Direct Unsubsidized Loan.
